Introduction
This article helps you get started with your tasks, and is split into five sections:
1) Who are Credas?
2) Why have you been asked to complete your onboarding with Credas;
3) Logging in;
4) Completing your tasks;
5) What's next?
1. Who are Credas?

Please view our Table of Contents here to find the support resources you are looking for.
2. Why have you been asked to complete a check with us?
Many Law Firms partner with Credas to help them provide onboarding checks through our free Credas App or web app ensuring that your checks are completed as safely and securely as possible.
Law Firms are required to carry out checks, including Identity Verification whenever someone takes on legal services to protect against financial crime and fraud.
The check you have been asked to do will be dependent on the nature of the transaction and the Law Firms requirements. If you are not sure why you have been asked to complete a check with us, we recommend speaking to the Law Firm who issued you your check, and they will be able to clarify further.
3. Logging In
To begin the journey, you will be sent an invitation via email or SMS which will highlight your unique registration code, as can be seen below. To start your check, click the URL in the SMS or the 'continue; button in the email. This will take you to our registration page or the Credas App depending on the check the Law Firm wishes for you to complete. For more information on how to log in, please view our guide here.
4. Completing your Tasks
The tasks you have been assigned to complete will depend on the check the Law Firm has requested for you to complete, however it is likely you will be asked to complete the following:
- Enter your personal details
- Capture your Identity Document
- If you have uploaded a passport, you will be asked to scan your passport via NFC
- Capture a liveness selfie
You may also be asked to complete other sections such as a Source of Funds Questionnaire or upload documents linking you to the property you are selling.
This knowledge base contains guides and videos on each possible task you may be asked to complete. Please view our full list of resources including step-by-step guides and videos here.
Once you have finished a task, we recommend following the below steps to see if you have any additional tasks assigned to you if you were asked to set up an account with Credas.
1) Firstly, if you are already on the Credas website, you can click 'Back to the dashboard', as can be seen below, where you will see a list of your assigned tasks.
2) If you have already logged out, or are on the Credas App, you will need to go back to the website where you will need to log in again, you can do this by clicking here - My Connect. Please login using the same credentials you used previously.
3) Once you have logged in you will see a list of your tasks that you have been assigned, and the percentage of completion.
4) Click on the task you wish to complete.
5. What's next?
Once you have completed all of your tasks, they will be made available to the Law Firm that issued you the invitation and they will be in contact if anything further is needed from you.
