Microsoft Authenticator Example

This support article is designed to help you register your account for the first time by using an authenticator app, if you are looking for help on other areas of the Credas check, such as if you already have an account, please view our support guidance here.

If you choose to set up your account via the authenticator app, you will have to download an authenticator app. You can choose any authenticator app you would like however some common examples include Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator.

This example shows you how to use the Microsoft Authenticator app.

1. Firstly, you will need to download the Microsoft Authenticator app from the Apple App Store or Google play store.

2. After this, you can either scan the QR code as shown in figure 1 below, or you can copy a code to enter into the Microsoft Authenticator app shown in figure 2 below.

3. You can scan the QR code or enter the code by clicking the button shown below within the Microsoft Authenticator App.

4. The below screen will then appear when you can either scan the QR code or click 'Enter code manually'.

5. If you choose to enter the code you have copied, enter the code as the 'secret key' below. You can name it whatever you prefer, we recommend naming it 'Credas'.

6. Once you have scanned the QR code or entered the code, your code will then appear for you.

7. Enter the code into the credas app or web-app to finish registering your account.
